What I Have Been Learning Over The Last Few Weeks

What I have been learning

So far over the last few weeks, I have learnt how to make a pick a path story, and learnt how they work. I wrote mine about someone stranded on an island, The post including the story is below this post.

I’ve also, worked on research about how to keep our oceans clean and safe and things that cause damage to our oceans.

How to keep our oceans safe and healthy

How to keep our oceans safe and healthy

Our oceans are in danger of being damaged by things that we do in our everyday life, which can be dangerous for both us, and marine life.
What causes damage.
The things that damages our oceans are plastic bags, because they may decide to fly away on a windy day, this damages our marine life the most because marine life sees it as food, consumes the plastic, and causes major damage.
Oil spills are also something that damages our ocean, these are caused by people being careless around the ocean, equipment breaking down natural disasters, and more.Dirty water also affects our ocean as this affects our marine life as the water is not clean and therefore our
marine life gets sick.
How to prevent it
Know you may be asking, how do I prevent this from happening? I don’t want our marine life to suffer. Here are a couple of ways to help because i don't want this to happen either,
1,Organise a beach clean-up, to clean-up plastic, rubbish, ect
To help get rid of unnecessary rubbish.
2,Try reduce putting rubbish, and even dirty water down drains! This goes through the drains into the oceans and if we keep putting rubbish down the drains, it may drastically damage marine life.
3, Try reducing using plastic bags, try using fabric reusable bags, so that if your bags do decide to fly away, it won’t be harming the marine life as much as plastic bags.
4,Be careful with rubbish around the beach, as these can fly away into the sea and causemarine damage, try using less rubbish that may be unnecessary around the beach, and when you can, put the rubbish in a bin.
My opinion
My opinion on this is that- it’s horrible that our marine life are in danger of being harmed, but if we can do something about it, it will definitely help.

Reflection

I think overall I did okay, but there are things i could improve on, such as, The formating,
Could be more organised, My persuasive argument could be more persuasive and I could use
a more extended vocabulary.
